GAGE R & R SOFTWARE

    GAGE R & R, a Windows ® based program for gage repeatability and reproducibility, is designed to qualify gages to the automotive industry's Measurement System Analysis methods as published in the December 1990 Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) manual. The mathematical procedures used in this software follow the Average and Range Method (sometimes referred to as the "Long Method"). It determines both repeatability and reproducibility of the measurement system, with components comparing both equipment (gage) variations and appraiser (operator) variations.

     GAGE R&R allows you to analyze gages with multiple readings. When a gage measures two or more features, all dimensions can be specified in the ASCII text file. There is no limit to the number of features.

    Through a very easy to follow procedure, GAGE R&R performs the complete analysis. Just specify the path and name of the ASCII text file containing all of the identifiers and data collected during the gage evaluation. The Setup Screen prompts you for the location of fields in the data file. After the various field locations and the text file name are specified, click on the "Process" button and the results will be immediately available on our Results Screen. The history of the results for a particular gage can be viewed on our History Screen.
    Complete Gage R&R results can be printed. Check the "Print Report" button on the results screen and the report will be printed when you close the screen.
